CITY OF DETROIT BUILDINGS, SAFETY ENGINEERING AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEPARTMENT (BSEED)

We create safe environments for city residents.

The Buildings, Safety, Engineering & Environmental Department (BSEED) is responsible for making sure that all rental properties in the city are properly registered, up to code and have obtained a certificate of compliance (CofC).

The city has passed an 

Property Maintenance Ordinance Code-Amendment 10-31-2017

 that would do several things to improve the rental compliance process, including:

Our friends at Ford Resource and Engagement Center (FREC) has provided Regent Park Community Association with a new clean and safe location to host our monthly community meetings. As of March 8, 2018 Regent Park Community Association will be hosting all of our monthly meetings at the Ford Resource and Engagement Center located at 15491 Maddelein St., Detroit, MI 48205.  Ford Resource and Engagement Center shares its space with Fisher Magnet Upper Academy.  This newly remodeled location provides numerous free services for Detroit residents. 

Please join us at our monthly meetings every 2nd Thursday of every month from 6 pm - 7 pm and see what's happening in and around our community!
